Kitchenuhmaykoosib Inninuwug Dibenjikewin Onaakonikewin (“KIDO”) is the KI FamilyLaw and its Maamao Dibenjikewin Kanawaabajikewin (“MDK”) service model carries out child and familyservices, but KIDO is much broader than mainstream services. It is specific to KI Nation and is animportant exercise of Miinikozowin (inherent power) by KI and aims to restore kayaash egwa miinaahchaako kikinohamaakewinan (traditional and spiritual teachings of KI).

The KIDO IT Case Database Manager is a full-time position and is the lead of the Database and IT Department, a part of the senior management within KIDO. This position will keep all senior management informed on the operations of the Maamao Dibenjikewin Kanawaabajikewin (“MDK”) Database System and IT systems, including updates and training opportunities. This position requires teamwork and organizational skills to carry out case file reviews and working with others in the Database & IT Department to meet the operational requirements of KIDO to be responsive 24 hours/day year-round.
The IT Case Database Manager is responsible for the stability and safeguarding computer, electronic devices, and cloud-based storage systems, which includes working internally and externally with a support team to ensure KIDO operations are running seamlessly. This will include ensuring the proper systems are in place to do so, including selecting appropriate service providers and managing their accounts with KIDO including responding to and addressing invoices, updates to personnel, and regular communication. Further, MDK services for KI awaashishag, oshkaadizag and dibenjikewin (children, youth and families) rely on the MDK Database system to have information readily available to coordinate services and therefore, is a priority to have all KIDO employees trained and collaboration with the KIDO Training Department will be required. The Human Resources (“HR”) Department is another department of KIDO that will require close collaboration, especially with onboarding new employees with their electronic devices (and signing-out), setting up KIDO emails, and anything else related to IT that requires the, to sign-in to an online or server platform.
This position will carry out the KIDO vision, mission and principles, and will report to the KIDO Director. Updates to the Dibenjikewin Oganawenjikeg Opimojiketamaakeg (“DOO”) Board of KIDO will be required.
